One of the questions we are most frequently asked when people call is “where are you based?”. This makes us smile because it reminds us how much we drivers assume that we have to take our car somewhere with a fixed location for service, regardless of how convenient it may or may not be.

Our whole mindset is that you, the customer, should not have to go anywhere – it is our job to come to you. Thats why we have our fleet of mobile workshops that come to you. If the job is too large to be done via the mobile service (e.g. an engine rebuild), we simply collect the car and take it to our workshop and deliver it back.

So you don’t need to worry about where we are based. So long as you are in our area (most of England), it will be us asking you where is the most convenient place for us to come to work on your Porsche.

We are doing a lot of suspension work. We have just completed a full suspension rebuild on a 2006 Porsche Cayman. The customer sourced the parts from Design911. The new set up was based on Bilstein B16 coil overs currently wired into the PASM with all new Meyle components.

The result is stunning – a mean low stance and razor sharp handling.

Our customer will have many happy weekends adjusting his ride settings.

Prices of the 996 generation Carrera remain low although the cars seem to be becoming more appreciated and there is some talk of a revival in values. This model is the best value way to own the iconic Porsche 911.

We have a lovely 996 which we bought recently and we got it up on one of our lifts so we could show you what to look for when buying one – and find out what was wrong with ours! Most of these points apply to the facelift version the 997 and, indeed, to the Boxster and Cayman siblings.

Firstly, a scan of the forums will have you walking away in fear. Everyone talks about the problems but few people talk about the good points. These are, by any standard, incredibly strong, reliable cars built to last a lifetime. Well maintained they will give years of trouble free enjoyment and can absolutely be used as every day cars.

After many late nights, lots of visits by the electrician and much head scratching it is time to say farewell to this amazing Porsche 928 S4. At 31 years old it still looks a million dollars, sounds incredible and goes like a rocket. With fully adjustable suspension all round and everything set up as it should be this is a very fine handling supercar.
